Use of Colour that Clutters:

The way in which clutter presents itself is by perception. A space may not be actually cluttered by stuff  but virtual clutter. When a wall for example, has a lot going on in terms of pattern or too many colours  used on one item which could be a sofa, a bedspread, a curtain or even a carpet, one needs to be careful not to send a message of ‘cluttered space ‘which really repels comfort of the mind. Worse off still would be to use all these mentioned items in one room or space. Now that’s a no, no.

Use of Colours to Declutter

Heavy colour prints should be used sparingly  in a background of a plain wall , carpet or furniture. The  use of natural hues  the honey browns and creamy yellows create a spacious feeling.
